Kids with autism and other sensory processing disorders or sensitivities and their parents have yet another reason to shop at Target. The Cat & Jack clothing line will now feature a selection of sensory-friendly clothing items.
Tagless, flat-seemed items are made to help alleviate that itchy, scratchy feeling that comes with tags and lots of stitching. When a Target designer noticed that her child with autism was having a hard time finding clothes that were stylish yet comfortable for her sensory needs, she worked with the team to develop this idea.
Leggings are also functional and made to fit with diapers for older children if needed. Cute tees and pants are just the first clothing items to appear, but Target plans on adding more items for children with special needs. The price is right too. The new Cat & Jack sensory items range from $4.50 to $7. If we needed another reason to love Target, this is it!
