Can you believe Christmas is RIGHT around the corner? With school holidays beginning, we like to use our time together celebrating with a good Christmas craft or activity to help ring in the new year.
This sweet Star Softie Pattern captures the mood of the whole holiday season, and work so well as a Christmas softie OR New Years craft.
The free printable makes this an easy project to complete quickly for an adorable handmade gift or stocking stuffer.
Instead of making these with fabric, you could also create paper pillows filled with small treats or surprises for New Years Eve!
STAR SOFTIE PATTERN – MATERIALS:
- The Christmas Stars Printable (download right below)
- White Fabric or Paper
- Transfer Paper
- Iron
- Polyfill or similar soft pillow stuffing
- Yarn or Small Pom Poms
- Glue

INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Print the stars on transfer paper for white fabrics. Following the instructions of the brand you are using, iron the pattern onto a white thin fabric. Once your pattern has been transferred, cut out your stars along the solid cut line.
Step 2: Using your cut stars or the paper template, trim backs for your stars out of the same fabric or something different.
Step 3: Sew the front and back together (or glue the edges) leaving a small opening to insert some polyfill or similar soft stuffing.
Step 4: Close the opening and make or use small pom poms and glue them to the star points.
