This sweet Rudolph Reindeer Handprint Art makes a sentimental Christmas art project for kids. A lovely way to remember how tiny their hands were that Christmas holiday season!
Christmas is a magical time for children, especially when they are still little. Remember how tiny your child’s hands were with this sweet Rudolph Reindeer Handprint Art. It takes less than half an hour to make but will provide a lifetime of memories!
Rudolph is always a favorite reindeer and your kids will be excited to see their handprints become the antlers on one of their beloved reindeers!
What do you need for this Christmas Handprint art?
This art is so easy to make in less than half an hour. We used a white blank canvas so no need to buy a frame. All you need is cardstock, glue, a red pom pom, googly eyes, brown paint and of course your child’s handprints!
What can I do with Reindeer Handprint art?
You can make it as a gift – this would make a lovely grandparents’ present! You can keep it forever and take it out each Christmas holiday season, or make one each year to see how the handprints have grown!
To personalize you can add your child’s name and the year right on the canvas frame.
Rudolph Reindeer Handprint Art – Materials:

White blank canvas

Glue
-
Cardstock paper in brown and cream
-
Two large googly eyes
-
One large red pom pom
-
Brown paint
-
Paint brush
INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. Cut out a reindeer head shape out of the brown cardstock that will fit inside your canvas with room for your child’s handprint on top.
Step 2. Cut out an inner cream section for the mouth – glue that to the brown face.
Step 3. Cut out 2 brown outer ears and two cream inner ears. Glue behind the face.
Step 4. Glue the nose and the eyes to the face.
Step 5. Glue the reindeer to the white canvas.
Step 6. Open your child’s palm and paint a thin even layer of brown paint on one. Use the right palm to stamp the left antler and the left palm to stamp the right antler. We probably could have added a tad more paint as you can tell our antlers aren’t too thick – but didn’t want too much paint to spread. You can definitely try adding more when you make yours!
