We love making rainbow art and have used this foil painting method with great success! It occurred to me recently that I should try it using our rainbow quote art which we’ve done with squeegee paint!
I didn’t think I could love the original version more, but honestly, this vibrant art may be my latest favorite! I love how the foil and water effects create this dreamy watercolor pattern. It kind of reminds me of the t-shirt tie dye we made a few summers back!

How to make Rainbow Foil Art – Instructions
1.Print the quote pages out – we recommend using cardstock paper for best quality.
2. Grab a piece of foil that will cover your print.
3.Use washable markers and color the colors of the rainbow line by line (this should cover the quotes. Watch the video or photos in the Etsy listing if you need more directions!)
4.Spray the quote page lightly with a mist of water. Turn it over and press over the colors on the foil.
5.Remove gently to reveal your rainbow quote painting!
Note: as it dries it may curl up, so when it is completely dry you can add a book on top to flatten.
For a fun variation, use different colored markers to create endless color combinations.
