How do you make Confetti New Years Poppers? 

You simply cut a toilet paper tube in half, and wrap with wrapping paper, tissue paper, or crepe paper. Use ribbon or twine to tie off one end Fill the other end with confetti and then twist and tie off with a ribbon. Have kids crack the poppers open to celebrate new year’s eve! 

What else can you add inside your DIY Party Poppers?

Instead of paper confetti, you can add small toys like plastic dinosaurs or animals. Or fill with small candies to make the DIY poppers extra sweet and celebratory! You can make these party poppers for virtually any party or event like birthdays or graduation!

This New Years Eve Party Popper craft is so fun for kids to celebrate the new year! They're a fun use of paper rolls and leftover gift wrap!

Materials

  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Wrapping paper 
  • Ribbon
  • Paper Confetti
  • Tape
  • Exacto knife
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Cut the paper roll in half.
  2. Wrap paper around it and secure with tape leaving paper on both ends to tie off.
  3. Tie off one end with ribbon.
  4. Add confetti inside the tube filling it up.
  5. Tie off the other end with ribbon.
  6. To make it easier for kids to crack open, lightly score the middle with an exacto knife. This is more important to do with stiffer wrapping paper vs. thin paper like tissue or crepe paper.
