Why is this paper tube fish a fun summer craft for kids?
This kids fish craft is a fun summer activity that you can enjoy with your kids. It takes just a few minutes to create, and the whole family will love how “real” it looks! The kids will love collecting leaves or foliage outdoors to make their paper tube fish come to life. They can play with it and create all sorts of fish stories. Wouldn’t it be fun to change the paper tube fish’s colors to match a specific season or holiday? Fish crafts don’t just have to happen over the summer holidays!
What do you need to make this recycled fish craft?
The beauty of this easy craft is that the materials are free and plentiful! Take empty toilet paper rolls (or cut paper towel tubes in half) to make the fish body. Then embellish the fins and tail with flowers, leaves, or foliage from outside! We just grabbed a few from our backyard! We added googly eyes to make the fish more realistic but you can easily just draw in with a black marker.
