MODERN FOUR SEASONS TREE PAPER CRAFT

Are you preparing for fall yet? We are celebrating the changing of seasons with a lovely modern four seasons tree paper craft!

This simple but stunning 3D paper project is a great way to reinforce learning about spring, summer, fall, and winter. Making these artsy trees together gives you a great opportunity to discuss the seasonal changes – visible and invisibile – that happen in nature.

In addition to demonstrating the physical changes trees undergo with each season, your kiddos get a chance to experiment with using colors in a playful, dynamic way too. Fall trees are so naturally colorful, they’re always our favorites!

MODERN FOUR SEASONS TREE PAPER CRAFT – MATERIALS:

Colored Construction Paper
Scissors
Rubber Cement or Craft Glue
Hole Punch
White Pencil
Bone Stick (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Teach kids the joy of seasonal changes while making some beauriful art with a simple and modern 4 seasons tree paper craft

Start by drawing a simple tree trunk on a piece of colored paper, and cutting it out. Using the same trunk as a template, trace it 3 times on 3 other colored paper piece; cut and put on the side. On another piece of construction paper draw a vague shape of crown, then cut out.

This activity gives you a great excuse to play with fun color combinations for each season. 1 tree will represent Fall, another one Winter, then Spring and to finish Summer, so use interesting seasonal colors for each crown. You can also make your crown with 2 colors to give it a fun modern look. Glue the trunks to the crowns, and set aside to dry.

Once your trees have fully dried, it’s time to decorate them with some seasonal flair! Use your imagination and what you have in your craft box. For example you can use mini white pompons for the snow!

Now fold each tree in half; you can use a paper bone or a plastic card. Glue all the parts together following the season.

And just like that you have a forest of beautiful 3D modern seasonal trees!
