If you love how precious these unicorn rocks are and how fun they are to make, then you’ll definitely Cute Unicorn Crafts for Kids.
All you need to make these sweet diy unicorn rocks are a few supplies. We love how kids can decorate these in any they like with so many open-ended varieties with stickers, flowers, horn colors and drawn-in faces.
DIY Unicorn Rocks – Materials:
- Rocks
- Paint markers in black and pink (we love these paint markers for rock painting)
- Craft flowers
- Glitter cardstock
- Stickers like tiny hearts and stars
- Hot glue**
**Hot glue on rocks can come off easily so we suggest pressing down when applying the craft item (e.g. flowers) and using these as decorating rocks to be displayed, not handled or played with. If you want strong glue, use cement glue.
DIY Unicorn Rocks – Instructions:
Step 1. Clean your rocks if needed.
Step 2. Cut out a triangle from your glitter craft paper, arrange on the rock. Arrange your craft flowers. Glue the horn and flowers down. If using hot glue, make sure to press down to adhere well. As noted above:
**Hot glue on rocks can come off easily so we suggest pressing down when applying the craft item (e.g. flowers) and using these as decorating rocks to be displayed, not handled or played with. If you want strong glue, use cement glue.
Step 3. Draw in ears, eyes and cheeks.
Step 4. Add stickers if you’d like for details, like tiny hearts or stars.
You’re done! Remember there isn’t a “right or wrong” way to make these. Let the kids (and adults) have fun with the faces and decorative details.
Ways to play and use:
- Make these as a unicorn party craft
- Hand one to someone as magical little gift or surprise
- Write someone’s name on the back as a reminder they sparkle
