My daughter has been asking to plant pots for a while so we looked around our kitchen to see what we could use and and the idea for painting old jars came up. If you collect old glass jars, this project is the perfect way to recycle them and give them new life. We painted funny faces on them to turn this into a fun art project. Read more below to find out how to make your own kid-made funny faces jars.
Kid-Made Funny Faces Painted Plant Jars – Materials:
– Old glass jars
– Soil
– Small plants (we used succulents)
Step 1. In a well ventilated area, spray paint your jars white. This may take a couple of coats to get them white.
Step 2. Have your child sketch out funny faces on a notepad before deciding on a few designs.
Step 3. Use your paint markers to draw on the funny faces. Allow to dry completely.
Step 4. Once your jars are dried, the planting fun begins. It helps to add soil to a bowl and give your child a scoop/spoon so they can easily add the soil in the jars.
Once the plants are potted, add some fresh water and enjoy your cheerful funny face pots!
