This cute DIY towel bear is a super simple Valentine bear craft kids can make in minutes as a Valentine gift.

Valentine Day is all about sending love to those you care about. This cute DIY Towel Bear is a fun craft kids can make to make someone’s Valentine’s Day. He’s already cuddly, sweet and holding a red felt heart!  

This stuffed Valentine teddy bear is so simple to make with just a couple of materials and requires no sewing, glue or scissors!

What age is perfect to make this cuddly Valentine Bear Towel?

This is a perfect preschool Valentine craft or one for little kids to make as handmade Valentine gifts.

What do you need to make a towel bear?

I’m not kidding when I say it’s super easy to make this cute Valentine Bear. All you need is a washcloth towel, and some rubber bands. If you want to dress up your bear, you can add a felt heart, and simple black cardstock eyes. 

What are learning benefits to making this Valentine Bear?

You can add a decorative ribbon around the bear’s neck to teach preschoolers how to make a knot too. 

I’m always looking for additional ways for my kids to learn while making crafts and tying the rubber bands around the towel is also another great way to strengthen those fine motor skills.

Materials: 

Washcloth towels (brown, 12″ square)

Rubber bands

Black cardstock and hole puncher

Red felt 

Ribbon 

Glue dots (we love using these because they are removable and don’t leave a residue) so the towel can be used if needed

This cute DIY towel bear is a super simple Valentine bear craft kids can make in minutes as a Valentine gift.

Materials

• Washcloth towels (brown, 12" square)
• Rubber bands
• Black cardstock and hole puncher
• Red felt 
• Ribbon 
• Glue dots (we love using these because they are removable and don't leave a residue) so the towel can be used if needed

Instructions

1. Roll your towel from one end to the center, repeat on the other side.
2. Flip the towel so the flat side is up.
3. From the center, flip one end over, then the other end straight back (we recommend watching the video for this step, it's really easy but hard to explain).
4. Rubber band the head part (that will be your neck).
5. Smooth out the face towel creases and add a rubber band for each ear.
6. Optional, cut out two small circles or use a hole puncher from black cardstock as the eyes. Attach to face with glue dots.
7. Tie a ribbon around the bear's neck.
8. Cut out a red felt heart and use glue dots to attach to bear's arms so it looks like it's holding it.
