I recently had to lead the Gardening meeting for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop and since Earth Day is right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to do a little planting project + Earth Day activity!
These mini DIY unicorn planters came out so darling.
I love how each girl gave it their own magical twist, from blooming arched rainbows, to glittery wings and fun faces like cats and pigs!
Kids’ imaginations are endless and it was a pleasure to host such a fun event for my daughter and her troop mates.
After the planting activity we handed out a one page worksheet where each girl pledged 3 ways they can make the world a more eco-friendly and magical place to live. Each girl stood up and presented her idea. If you’re doing this for class activity, this is great way to encourage public speaking, leadership and social responsibility!
