This DIY Twig Christmas Tree project makes a beautiful nature Christmas craft for kids! Gather branches and get in the holiday-making spirit.
We love nature crafts and are super excited to share this beautiful DIY Twig Christmas tree project today! This is a lovely nature Christmas craft kids will love making to get in the holiday spirit! The beauty of this project is that each Christmas tree is unique and special! We also love the loose parts involved and creativity! Especially great for younger kids to design their own holiday tree this year!
What do you need to make this Twig Christmas Tree?
Chances are you already have what you need to make these lovely trees! Head on a nature walk or right outside your backyard or local park to pick up some fallen branches and leaves. We show two ways to build a tree, by layering branches from large to small sizes, and a classic triangle tree shape. But the tree design is up to you! Next, the fun part is to look inside your craft stash or pick up random crafty bits and bobs like ribbons, buttons, twine and pom poms to create a lovely loose parts array to start making your nature trees!
What can you make with this Nature Christmas Tree Craft?
We think they make lovely mini trees as holiday decor around the home. But another option is to tie a loop of ribbon around and create Christmas tree ornaments! You can also make them smaller and attach them on top of presents as gift-wrap toppers.
