This adorable Cat Craft Ball Game is a fun Halloween black cat craft for kids! They also get the bonus of practicing their fine motor skills by moving the yarn balls around!
Halloween is best known for its scary costumes, decorations, treats, and parties. But what is this frightful night without Halloween crafts? Cats are sometimes seen as scary creatures that live in the dark, but they also make for some fun Halloween crafts! This Cat Craft Ball Game is a super fun Halloween art project for kids with multi-purposes. First, it’s a great use of recycling any old box. Second, younger kids can also practice fine motor skills by moving the yarn balls around to land on the cat’s nose!
The Halloween game is super fun one kids can play with. Either way, it’s super simple and easy to make, and will add excitement to your Halloween night!
What do you need to make this Cat Game?
I bet you already have most of these simple materials to make this cute cat project! You’ll need our FREE printable cat template (download below in our craft instruction card), a shoebox lid or shallow box, orange yarn, black and orange paper, glue, scissors, 3 small styrofoam balls, and white paint markers.
How do you make this Halloween Cat Craft?
First, we do recommend watching the video DIY in this post so you can see how easy this cat project is to make! You’ll basically need to add some colored paper to your shoebox lid (we chose orange). Print out our cat template and use it to trace 3 black cats to trace on top of black paper. Glue those to the shoebox and draw some cute cat features. Then wrap some orange yarn around your styrofoam balls and you have an adorable ball and cat game!
Cat Craft Materials
FREE Cat Template (download below in our printable craft instruction card)
Shoebox top
Orange yarn
Black and orange cardstock
Glue stick
Scissors
3 small styrofoam balls
Pencil
white paint marker (or white crayon) and black marker
Cut out an orange sheet the size of the shoebox top and glue it on. Cut out the template, draw it on your black paper three times, then cut it out. Draw cat features with your white paint marker or white crayon. Use black marker for the eyes. Cut out the nose (same size as you styrofoam balls). Place the cat heads on top of the the box lid then trace the cat noses with a pencil and cut them out. Glue the cat heads in place. Coat the styrofoam balls with glue and wrap them in orange yarn. Play the cat game by rolling the yarn balls around until they land on the cat's nose!CAT CRAFT BALL GAME
