How to Bunny Handprint Art – Fun Easter Craft For Kids

  1. Trace the Handprint: Begin by placing your child’s hand on a piece of white construction paper. Spread their fingers wide and trace around the hand. This will form the body and ears of the bunny.
  2. Cut and Shape: Cut out the traced handprint. To form the bunny ears, cut out the middle finger. Then, fold the thumb and pinky inwards to represent the bunny’s paws.
  3. Decorate the Bunny: With pink paper, cut out inner ear shapes and paw pads, then glue them onto the corresponding areas. Use markers to draw the bunny’s eyes and whiskers. We used a heart punch to make the pink paws but you can simply cut out pink dots or use a regular hole puncher!
  4. Add the Carrot: We had a craft carrot in our art stash but you could make your own carrot. Cut a carrot shape from orange craft paper or felt, and attach small strips of green paper at the top to resemble the leaves. Glue the carrot in the center to resemble the bunny holding it! You could also add a chocolate egg or filled Easter egg!
  5. Floral Crown: Embellish your bunny with a crown of small craft flowers. Glue these above the bunny’s head to give it a fun spring touch.
  6. Finishing Touches: Add any additional decorations you like, such as cotton balls for texture or glitter for a bit of sparkle.
