Summertime is a time for fun in the sun! And what could be more fun than Bubble Refill Station? This summer, keep the kids entertained and busy with our easy-to-follow guide on how to set up your very own Bubble Station. With just a few simple steps, you’ll have everything you need to keep the little ones occupied all summer long!
Why bubbles are fun for kids
Most kids love bubbles. They are often mesmerized by the way bubbles float and change shape in the air. Bubbles can be both fun and educational for kids. For example, children can learn about bubble surface tension by dipping a straw or stick into soapy water and blowing through it.
There are so many different ways to play with them. You can blow them yourself, or you can use a bubble machine. You can catch them on your hand, or you can try to pop them with a wand. You can even make giant bubbles! Kids will have a blast exploring all the different ways to play with bubbles.
They can also experiment with different sizes and shapes of bubbles by using different types of containers or bubble blowers. In addition, bubbles can provide a welcome distraction on a hot summer day. Whether they are chasing them around in the yard or blowing them indoors, kids always seem to have a good time when there are bubbles involved.
What are the advantages of setting up a bubble station?
The main advantage is giving kids ownership of refilling their bubble container for constant bubble play whenever they want! This will keep them engaged and playing with bubbles longer and keep them off the screen time or need for you to refill their container each time.
Another benefit is customizing your own solution. You can completely DIY your own bubble solution. This way, you can experiment with different types of soap and see what works best for you. In addition, you can add essential oils or other fragrances to create a unique scent.
Best of all, a bubble refill station is a great way to save money. Rather than buying pre-made solutions, you can make your own for a fraction of the cost. Not to mention, making your own bubble solution is a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy.
However, we understand not everyone has time for DIY so you can easily just pour a big jug of bubble solution (which is cheaper than buying those tiny bottles and less wasteful on the environment). You can also buy a premade bubble powder mix and just add soap and water! We’ve done that before and it works great!

Where do you get the bubble container?
We got our cute and colorful rainbow jug at Target for cheap but you can get any other inexpensive plastic jug with a spigot at most other big box stores or discount home stores. We definitely recommend plastic since it will be around kids! You don’t want a heavy breakable item near little ones.
For bubble wands, we love this giant big bubble wand pack from Target as well!
