COLOR CODE’S INSIGHTS ON CHILDREN’S PERSONALITIES

I tend to be fascinated by personality assessments like Myers Briggs and have found that they’ve often helped me work better, both professionally and personally, by understanding people’s intrinsic behaviors and personality traits.

The Color Code is a unique way of looking at personality assessment by providing insights on what you do and why you do it. This can offer a clear way of understanding those around you.

They’ve come out with a chart that translates their methodology to children’s behaviors. As a parent of two children, I have often wondered myself how each one could be so different in how they respond to and approach life.

I know as parents, we can’t pinpoint our children’s behaviors to a “color” as life is more complicated than that. But looking at the chart as it relates to my children gave me some pause for thought which prompted me to want to share this with you. I can definitely relate to the red and yellow child. It was insightful for me to look at the suggested ideas on “what to do” and “what not to do.” In examining how my children respond best to discipline for example, I found some of the suggestions quite true from my personal experience in how to best approach my child.

What do you think? Does this chart ring true for your child?

Take a look at the chart and read more on Color Code’s insights on Relationships With Your Kids.
