My daughter loves Hello Kitty and Miffy so I thought it’d be fun to turn pumpkins into her favorite cartoon characters. These are simple to make with just a bit of paint and an adorable no-carve pumpkin idea for kids.
Hello Kitty and Miffy Pumpkin – Materials
– Two small pumpkins
– Paint (we used tempera) in white, black, yellow and red
– Paint brushes
– Pencil
Instructions:
Step 1. You’ll want to clean and dry your pumpkins then give them several coats of white paint. Allow to dry completely.
Step 2. Look up images of Hello Kitty and Miffy online and with those images as a guide, draw on the faces with a pencil.
Step 3. For Hello Kitty, outline the face and eyes in black paint. Then the bow in red and nose in yellow. Allow to dry. Outline the nose and bow in black. For Miffy just outline in black. You an add a layer of sealant or spray varnish to protect the paint if you’d like.
