How to Make a Mother’s Day Flower Card

  1. Prepare Your Card:
    • Cut your kraft paper to a card size or depending on how long your blooms are. We made ours one-sided but you can also fold one in to write a longer message on the inside.
  2. Cut the Slits:
    • On the front of your card, cut two horizontal slits with enough space in between them to write your message. Make sure these are just long enough to snugly hold the stems of your flowers.
  3. Add Your Message:
    • Using a pen or marker, or letter stamps with an ink pad, write or stamp “Happy Mother’s Day” on the front of the card.
  4. Arrange the Flowers:
    • Select a small bundle of flowers. Trim the stems if necessary, ensuring they’re not too long.
    • Tip: use a rubber band to keep the stems in place.
    • Gently slide the stems through the slits on the card, fluff out your flowers.

Tips:

  • Flower Choices: Consider the recipient’s favorite colors or flowers to make the card extra special.
  • Keep It Fresh: If you’re preparing the card a bit in advance, keep the flowers in water and  assemble the card shortly before giving it to keep the flowers fresh.
  • Use Craft Flowers: Use craft or faux flowers if you want the card to last!
