These cute marbled clay shamrock pins can be worn to ward off any pinches on St Patrick’s Day! They’re easily made from oven bake clay and make a fun kid’s craft. See how we made them below.
St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Clay Pins – Materials:
– Oven bake clay (we used Sculpey brand which is our favorite, in greens and white)
– Small shamrock cookie cutter
– Hot glue gun
*You’ll also need a rolling pin and baking pan.
Instructions:
Step 1. Let kids marble the colors by breaking off small pieces and blending them together with their hands.
Step 2. Roll out the clay to about 3/8″ thickness.
Step 4. Place clay shamrocks on a parchment lined baking pan and bake according to your oven bake clay instructions. We ended up baking ours for 20 minutes at 275 degrees. Let cool.
Step 5. Apply a glue along the pin backings and place firmly on the back of each shamrock. Allow to dry before wearing. You’re done!
The kids loved the pretty swirly marbled look of the pins. The turned out so cute!
They can’t wait to wear them on St. Patrick’s Day and hand them out to their friends for good luck!
